Since 1987, the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) has set the standard in certification, continuing education, solutions and tools for health and fitness, sports performance and sports medicine professionals. NASM has pioneered evidence-based health and fitness solutions that optimize physical performance and allow individuals to achieve a variety of fitness activity goals.
This role will drive B2B account upgrades, customer retention, and subscription renewals of SaaS services for the Health Club Channel. The Inside Sales Rep (Club Solutions Advisor) is responsible for building and securing a robust upgrade and renewal pipeline by identifying opportunities using industry experiences/know-how, SaaS sales best practice strategies and business development tactics. This position is responsible for forecasting, targeting, lead generation, customer retention and acquisition of upgrades and subscription renewals by effectively uncovering client needs, then determining and recommending solutions for prospective clients to improve business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed sales targets.
- Development and execution of strategic plans to target and secure SaaS service upgrades and subscription renewals and preventing/limiting customer churn.
- Research, target and sell SaaS solution upgrades and renewals to prospects, thereby driving lifetime account value for the Health Club channel. Contract negotiation and execution required.
- Forecast sales and develop strategies for lead generation and pipeline development.
- Effectively transition upgraded accounts to Account Managers after contract execution for ongoing support.
Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree
- 3+ years of SaaS sales experience
- Ability and proven track record of sales production, client management and performance success
Skills & Abilities:
- Proven sales experience and high performer
- Strong strategic planning and development experience
- Pipeline development and revenue forecasting
- Technical expertise of health club industry requirements and trends
- Technical expertise on ClubConnect, NASM and AFAA products
- Self-motivated and directed
- Contract negotiation
- Proven business relationship building skills and track record of proficient collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Process oriented with strong attention to detail and effective recordkeeping.
- Ability to access and use CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365), Google online assets (e.g. Docs and Sheets) and general Microsoft Office applications (email, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
Other Requirements (Travel, shifts, physical demands, etc.):
- This position will include travel to industry events.
