CMM Programmer

POSITION SUMMARY:

Develop inspection plans and methods. Design fixtures and coordinate PPAP activities for components. Annual layouts as required by customers and special layouts as requested. Review and approve supplier PPAP. The incumbent is responsible for a variety of straightforward, routine duties in the assigned department.

The incumbent participates in the company's quality initiatives including, but not limited to: TS/ISO certification and maintenance of quality systems in place.

The incumbent participates in the company's safety programs by ensuring a safe and clean working environment, timely reporting of any safety violations, timely reporting of any workplace incidents or injuries, and effective housekeeping.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program CMM
• Inspection methods/fixture design
• PPAP layout
• Inspection Layout
• Troubleshoot CMM
• Supplier PPAPs
• ECN Review
• Customer PPAPs
• Annual layout
• Significant contacts with suppliers, engineering, corporate engineering, purchasing.

CRITICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• . High school diploma or equivalent required (if outside hire).
• Able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Able to perform basic mathematical functions, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• CMM programming capability; must have working knowledge of APQP/PPAP/MSA
• GD&T Knowledge (advanced knowledge)
• Technical ability to troubleshoot CMM
• Ability to develop inspection methods
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to use Profile Projector
• Ability to use inspection equipment
• Prefer: minimum of 5 years mfg. experience; minimum 3 years Quality Control with Inspection Responsibility;
