Job Description
Position Summary:
The CMM Programmer will be responsible for operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure accurate and precise measurements of our products. This position reports to our Laboratory Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure and inspect products
- Create and modify CMM programs based on engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform thorough inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
- Analyze measurement data and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering and leadership to resolve any measurement-related issues
- Support and implement tooling & fixturing requirements associated with CMM inspection processes
- Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Generate and support workstation instructions (methods) for CMM related issues
- Provide operator training during new processes or process improvements
- Provide daily operator support in the form of CMM programming and troubleshooting support to the shop floor
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by manager

- Ability to read and understand drawings/blueprints
- Computer skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and ability to manage files and records effectively.

Requirements
Candidates/incumbents must meet the minimum qualifications as detailed below.
- Associate degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred
- High School (HS) diploma or GED with 2 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience, required.
- CMM Program completion preferred.
- Familiarity with Starrett CMM & Hexagon machine and software
- Proven experience as a CMM Programmer or similar role
- Proficient in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Knowledge of G-Code and Verification Software (PC-DMIS, QC5000, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Ability to create CMM programs and develop a CAD model
- Ability to validate CMM programs
- Knowledge of setting up and running product on CMM equipment
- Computer literate with experience in Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook
