Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Vertical & Horizontal Okuma CNC mills to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: ·Setup and Operation:Set up and operate Vertical and or Horizontal Okuma CNC mills, according to production specifications and blueprints. ·Programming:Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models. Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to ensure accurate production. ·Tooling:Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines. ·Quality Control:Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. ·Process Improvement:Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. ·Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment. ·Documentation:Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine settings, and quality inspections. Qualifications: ·Education: o High school diploma or equivalent. o Technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred. ·Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment. ·Skills: o Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. o Strong working knowledge of Okuma Verticals and Okuma Controls o Familiarity with Firearms and the Firearms or Defense Industry o Strong understanding of machining processes and materials. o Familiarity with precision measuring instruments. o Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. o Strong problem-solving skills. ·Physical Requirements: o Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. o Standing for extended periods. o Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
