AREAS OF FOCUS: • Operating heavy industrial equipment (CNCs, saws, furnaces, presses) • Using gauges - micrometers or calipers • Operating overhead cranes • Driving Forklifts • Actively participate in safe work practices * ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS-* • Run production, monitoring CNC machines/ lathes / mills / saws. Check parts throughout run making necessary adjustments to conform to specifications. • Verify blueprint and dimensions. Identify forgings and material type. Read and understand entire part routing. • Set up equipment, install tools and fixtures. Monitor entire run due to unique forgings. • Visually inspect, layout and prepare materials as required. Examine material visually for flaws, defects and clean up. • Calculate chain and strap adjustments to ensure the safe lifting and transporting of parts. • Load material into machine utilizing overhead crane and secure to ensure safe machining on forgings that can exceed 100,000 lbs. • Prior to loading part, identify forgings, material type, and verify blueprint and dimensions. Examine material visually for flaws, defects and clean-up. • Actively participate in safety program to ensure the continued success of the program.# 1758 QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Skills- • High school diploma • Strong math and computer skills • Mechanical aptitude • Hand tools Preferred Skills - • Use of micrometer, caliper and tape measure • Machine set up and operation • Blueprint reading • Forklift operation • Crane rigging and operation • Prior manufacturing experience BENEFITS: We have grown to become a leader in the open die forging industry by rewarding our most valuable resource...
