CNC Machinist/Operator

About the company: Beacon Industries is a privately held CNC machine shop located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex (Seagoville, TX). Established in 1976 and continuing to grow, Beacon Industries produces high quality complex machined structural parts and assemblies out of our 100,000 sq/ft, climate-controlled manufacturing facility. Position Overview: We are currently looking for day shift and night shift workers. A CNC machinist job is currently available at Beacon Industries, Inc. To be considered for this role, you will have 3 - 5 years’ experience working in an aerospace machining environment with working knowledge of 5-axis machines, working with various aluminum alloys, steel, and titanium. The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of G-codes, the ability to complete all machine-related operations from set-up and preparations to breakdown of the set-up. CNC Machinist Job duties: • Set up for designated operation, including preparation of fixtures, placement of part, proper work holding, verification of tooling set-up, proper loading of tooling, and pre-machining operations. • Monitor machine operations to include monitoring machining sequences consistent with programming, observing machine for proper functioning and listening for irregular sounds that may be indication of developing problems. • Consult with Quality to ensure products are manufactured according to requirement and specifications, as well as, adhering to Quality Manual and AS9100 Rev D requirements. • Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications and to apply that interpretation to the parts in work • Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company’s commitment to Quality and Safety • Prepare part for machining as necessary, to include cleaning and hand-deburring of parts to ensure safe and effective operations.
