JOB SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision ensuresproduct quality by working closely with all functional groups to develop, supportand maintain CNC programs, tooling, and related documentation in the manufacturingof products. Positively affects First Time Yield, On-Time Delivery, and ReducedSet-up and Cycle Times.

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Otherduties may be assigned.

• Create and/or maintain CNC machining programs providing the appropriate level of floor support for program introduction, productivity optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Define, design, order, review and implement all tooling associated with manufacture of parts on specified CNC machinery, working with Tool Design as required.
• Create and/or maintain tooling libraries and databases including set up sheets, sketches, and associated documentation to support efficient product manufacturing.
• Provide appropriate level of floor support by interfacing with operators and other functional groups to review processing issues and resolve with sound, and lasting corrective actions.
• Continuously improve manufacturing processes to ensure superior product quality, reduced cycle times, lead times, and minimize overall manufacturing costs.
• Assist Buyer/Planner & Product Engineering in the creation of the most efficient manufacturing routings and outlines for the manufacture of parts utilizing CNC equipment.
• Support and provide assistance, as required, for various special projects
• Use MasterCam CAD/CAM software and G code language to create CNC machining programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree preferred, High School or equivalent a must
• Minimum of three to five year's experience in Manufacturing environment
• Minimum of three to five year's experience in programming role
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow complicated verbal, precision drawings, and written instructions.
• Ability to perform arithmetic, geometric and algebraic calculations.
• Strong oral and written communication skills required to effectively present information, write reports, and process work instructions in order to provide support to manufacturing unit.
• Experience in use of calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height gage or any precision measuring instrument required to check parts correctly.
• Experience with AutoCad, Master Cam, VeriCut, Pro E, and Microsoft PC suite of software.
• Knowledge of cutting tools application, GD & T, Oracle.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee isregularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee may also beexposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environmentis usually moderate.
