CNC Programmer

Position Description

As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

• Programming 3 and 5 axis CNC Milling machines and/or 7 axis Mill Turn and Bar Fed Mills.
• Maintain quality standards and schedules
• Follow instructions and standard procedures
• Interface with engineering, department supervisors and quality control inspection, coworkers and upper management

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

• 5 years of experience in programming 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines or lathes
• Working knowledge of a variety of materials: stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, tool steels, etc.
• Experience in Autodesk FeatureCAM or equivalent software
• Ability to hold tight tolerances
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work overtime, if needed

Preferred

• Experience in machining hardened tool steels
• Experience with molds and mold components
• Experience in machining multiple grades of stainless steel
