About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to be responsible for the long-term performance of co-branded credit card partnerships and their impact on the Consumer Credit Card portfolio strategic KPIs. The role will work closely with the co-brand partner and a cross-functional team to outline and execute an annual, seasonal and/or long-range product development plans.
Essential Functions
- Establish oneself as the central point of contact for the partner throughout the term of the partnership agreement
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for incremental growth in strategic KPIs
- Optimize P&L impact relative to program maturity
- Collaborate with partners and a cross-functional team to create an annual, seasonal, and/or long-range marketing plan for achieving incremental growth goals
- Develop new co-brand partnerships from provided warm sales leads and inquiries
- Work with new co-brand partners and Commerce team to implement programs
- Lead a team of SMEs to execute on proven, credit card best practices for acquiring new accounts and growing purchase volume for credit card programs
- Evaluate acquisition, usage and activation campaign performance and work with the partner to adjust the co-brand product strategy as needed
- Work closely with the partner and the Commerce Bank Legal team to reach a formal agreement of terms through contract negotiation
- Evaluate historical performance and program potential to determine if historical or expected results suggest the need for program renewal, program enhancements or program termination. Ensure program satisfaction for the partner and mutual customer
- Address issues and achieve resolution as they arise throughout the course of doing business
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Intermediate understanding of marketing best practices
- Strong relationship management skills
- Occasional travel as needed
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Basic/Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 2+ years account management or B2B sales experience required
- B2B relationship management experience preferred

At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $60,000 to $71,000 annually.
