What You Will Do

• Perform full life cycle support for Embedded Software Development.
• Develop applications for engineering and non-engineering programs.
• Perform low complexity data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Compiles and consolidates testing on diagnostic systems containing logical and mathematical solutions.
• English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.

What You Will Learn

Pratt and Whitney Puerto Rico is an Aerospace Engineering Center located in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico who design, evaluate and support gas turbine engines, airframe systems, and other aerospace products in the areas of software, drafting, structures analysis, modeling, mechanical design, tool design and others.

The Control & Diagnostics System (CDS) group at Pratt & Whitney Puerto Rico is currently looking for a motivated and talented COOP to join its Engine Diagnostics Prognostics Health Management (DPHM) Team. In this role, the applicant will get exposure to and learn engineering skills focused on airframe avionics integration, data wrangling and analytics development from a variety of aircraft flying V2500, NGPF and Military Engines. Data wrangling includes: data acquisition requirements for on-board avionics systems; conversion of flight data from binary to Engineering units; the validation of the data and storage to an enterprise accessible system. Analytics development involves working with SME's to develop engine health monitoring capability which includes alerting and trending to assist engineering, aftermarket and airlines.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Proficient in Python
• Knowledge in Probability and Statistics.
• Basic Database Knowledge

• Have experience with Microsoft office Applications
• Communicate effectively to both technical peers and senior management
• Must demonstrate reliability, initiative, and desire to learn
