Job Description
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Provide professional technical advice to our customers, by on-site support on paint application and inspections to ensure that the coating specification is met, and the job is completed according to the contract and the customer’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Give clear instructions to clients and relevant Jotun staff on paint application by working on site with relevant client representatives to ensure the coating specification is met and in accordance with customer expectation.

Carry out inspections of a specific project assigned to you by your direct manager by working independently, following the ITP and working procedures in order ensure that the product is applied in accordance with the specification

Write relevant reports by compiling data from inspections in order to document that the specification inspection criteria have been met
The job holder works independently as a Coating Advisor, attending projects within Protective and/or Marine. If the Job holder does not have adequate English skills, the Coating Advisor can only attend local projects, until a reasonable level of English is mastered.

Completed high school + >2 years of experience as a Coating Advisor with a competitor

Completed high school + >3 years of experience as QC or applicator

Completed high school + >3 months as Junior Coating Advisor

Completed Team No.1, Level 1
Specific credentials/qualifications required in this role:

Jotun induction carried out by HR
-
Team No.1 Level 1 including firefighting and first aid training conducted
-
Following a Senior Coating Advisor for min. 3 months
Technical Service Career Ladder:
To qualify for Coating Advisor Level 2, the following requirements must be met:
- English Proficiency
- Team No.1 Level 2 passed
- Completed Advanced Team No. 1 modules training as required by the relevant concepts
