Loan Administration at Valon
The Loan Administration team powers all of the operations required to keep Valon running smoothly. From onboarding loans to handling insurance and processing payments, the Loan Administration team ensures that homeowners are continuing to get a first-class experience with Valon, all from behind the scenes.
About the Role
As part of the Collateral management team, the senior specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of loan servicing functions related to residential loans. We are looking for someone who can multi-task between the multiple functions while focusing on intricate details. You will be responsible for processing lien releases, ordering and processing collateral files for paid-off loans, requesting collateral files for DQ loans as well as other various tasks. Ultimately, the role will allow you to exemplify our mission by championing homeowners with Valon.
Responsibilities
- Processing of documents and tasks related to loan payoffs.
- Assist closing with daily completion of original deeds to various counties for recording.
- Assist and back-up for release of deeds of trust and trailing recorded docs to be received.
- Managing deadlines for lien releases listed under state guidelines
- Create reporting of tasks completed and identify improvements
- Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of requests daily
- Work with internal business partners to develop improved processes and system updates
- Flexibility, ability to multi-task and re-prioritize tasks as needed to meet deadlines
Ideal Background
- Bachelors Degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of financial/fin-tech industry experience
- 3 to 5 years of mortgage servicing experience preferred
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and excellent critical thinking skills
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Ability to process a high volume of tasks/tickets
- Collaboration and communication skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to solve business problems and handle change management in a fast-paced environment
