We have an immediate opening for a Collibra Engineer to design, develop, and implement technical integration and automation solutions in Collibra. This is primarily a technical role, but engagement with business stakeholders is necessary to capture requirements, validate proposed design, and test end-state functionality. This role typically works with the broader Collibra team implementing or extending Collibra.  This is a remote 1099 contractor opportunity.


What You'll be Doing: 

  • Confirms Collibra is configured to meet ingestion or integration requirements
  • Details integration options and best practices
  • Serves as liaison between Business and IT
  • Implements metadata, lineage, ETL, data quality, workflow, modeling and visualization integrations
  • Works with other IT teams to build and maintain interfaces between catalog and other technologies
  • Remediates integration or performance issues
  • Provides best practices for harvesting and loading metadata, including identification of what should and should not be loaded
  • Designs, develops, implements and tests custom workflows, including associated source or target technology integrations
  • Provides knowledge transfer of all implemented functionality, including development of supporting system documentation 

What You Should Have:

  • Strong background in IT with a passion for data modeling and design 
  • 3+ years of data management consulting, including metadata management and Collibra (or similar cataloging technologies) implementation and integration 
  • Bachelor’s Degree with strong data understanding through experience. 
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to analyze complex environments, distill concepts and present to clients. 
  • Knowledge of customizing workflows. 
  • Must be able to participate in calls and video meetings during the client’s business hours; video background must be business appropriate.  
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
