Colorist (Contractor)

Job Summary:

As the Colorist, you'll be the artist breathing life into our ads, transforming raw footage into captivating visuals that evoke emotion and resonate with viewers. You'll work closely with our creative team, collaborating to develop unique and compelling looks that define the visual identity of our campaigns. Your expertise in DaVinci Resolve and color grading will be invaluable as you ensure color consistency and achieve the desired visual impact across all shots. While most of the work is done remotely, you'll have the opportunity to connect with our creative team and in-house colorist through occasional supervised sessions. This role offers a perfect blend of creative freedom and collaboration, allowing you to express your artistic vision while being part of a team that values innovation.

What You’ll Do: 

• Conform timeline from XML with given media
• Color-grade stringouts of selected footage
• Develop and apply creative looks inspired by references in collaboration with the creative team
• Ensure Colore accuracy and consistency throughout the stringout
• Color match different camera angles and color-correct products to match references
• Deliver color-graded timelines and archive your projects on our production server

What You’ll Need to Have: 

Required: 

• A great knowledge of Davinci Resolve and its color science
• 2+ years of experience as a colorist or assistant colorist
• An excellent photographic eye and a keen attention to detail
• Being a great collaborator
• Your own calibrated color suite

Preferred: 

• Familiarity with Frame.io or similar review platform 
• Familiarity with Louper.io or similar streaming platform 
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and the Adobe Ecosystem 

Compensation:

• $80/Hr, ~20 hours a month
