Job Summary
As a member of Comcast's CyberSecurity Workflow Engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the ServiceNow Engineering team, which develops the CyberSecurity ServiceNow instance. This is a technical manager role, so apart from advising and mentoring the ServiceNow engineers on your team in technical and career matters, you'll also be expected to get your hands dirty with SNOW technical platform work as well. You're right for the job if you have a talent for sharp technical communication, prioritization and organization. You'll be responsible for balancing the workload of the team with the responsibilities of the CyberSecurity Business direction.
You should have an understanding of ServiceNow from a user as well as from a platform developer. A typical day on your team might involve coordinating troubleshooting actions on the SNOW platform, working with the ScrumMaster to help prioritize technical user stories, and communicating the status of SNOW projects to leadership.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Understand the CyberSecurity ServiceNow platform and existing workflows
- Identify potential improvements in the core SNOW platform and prioritize work for engineers to resolve
- Mentor the Engineering team by advising on best practices when developing the SNOW platform.
- Help identify root causes of problems involving the SNOW platform, network, and architecture.
- Build in reliability and availability to the SNOW platform by creating and understanding metrics and measurements around the platform.
- Understand the SNOW platform operationally, and ensure that the proper monitoring and alerting are configured
- Non-Technical:
- Empower your team to be successful by identifying training and mentoring opportunities
- Identify Process gaps and areas for improvement to increase efficiencies in the Development process
- Build and maintain a strong team of engineers by focusing on teamwork and collaboration.
- Provides guidance to Software Engineering team and other departments in identifying product and technical requirements. Serves as primary point of contact and liaison between Software Engineering and other teams.
- Organizes software update process for existing applications and coordinates the roll-out of software releases.
- Manages all the deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications and budgets. Implements performance metrics and prepares periodic reports. Monitors and tracks project progress and reports findings to leadership team.
- Ensures all engineers keep current with technological developments within the industry. Monitors and evaluates competitive applications and products.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
