Forbes Vetted is seeking an innovative newsletter editor to join our rapidly growing commerce content distribution team.Â
This role sits under the Audience Development team and will be tasked with curation, production and strategy for our ever-expanding newsletter program. To excel in this role, you must produce consistently clean copy, have a keen eye for audience and buying trends, strong creative instincts, plus an understanding of and appreciation for the Forbes Vetted brand mission. This role works cross-functionally with many different parts of the organization, so you must be a team player. You also must have prior experience producing newsletters, preferably in the commerce space. This role reports to the Forbes Vetted senior distribution strategist.
Responsibilities
- Managing Forbes Vetted’s growing portfolio of commerce newsletters, including innovating existing products, ideating and producing new newsletters, as well as honing the voice and content mix
- Partnering closely with senior members of the Audience Development team to develop and execute strategy for the commerce newsletter portfolio
- Partnering closely with the art and editorial teams to create engaging newsletters that communicate Forbes Vetted brand values and identity
- Working with the centralized Forbes newsletter team on special editions, cross-promotion, welcome and invite emailsÂ
- Collaborating with the data and analytics team to provide regular reports on the growth of key metrics, including affiliate revenue
- Collaborating with the Brand Partnerships team to ideate and execute partner-sponsored and dedicated newsletters
- Taking initiative in seeking areas of opportunity for improvement within the Forbes Vetted newsletter program
- Participating in content planning and assisting with coverage over various shopping tentpole events, such as, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, Prime Day, Gift Guides, Memorial Day, etc.Â
- Experience strategizing and executing sweepstakes and other acquisition efforts (ex. paid social, cross-channel promotion)
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience working with editorial newsletters, preferably with some affiliate commerce experience
- Experience and interest in newsletters and creating engaging shopping and product-focused content
- Ability to identify, write and edit compelling subject lines and newsletter copy to drive strong engagement
- Experience using data to guide content decisions, as well as experience running A/B testing
- Experience working in Cordial, Looker, and/or DojoMojo is a strong plus
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must excel in a collaborative environment
- Adaptable and quick to learn new processes
- Experience working in Canva is a plus but not a requirement
- A great sense of humor and willingness to help build a positive team culture
The annual base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000
Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith. The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate. In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
