Job Description

Grammarly is excited to offer a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members work primarily remotely in the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Germany, or Poland. Certain roles have specific location requirements to facilitate collaboration at a particular Grammarly hub.

All roles have an in-person component: Conditions permitting, teams meet 2–4 weeks every quarter at one of Grammarly’s hubs in San Francisco, Kyiv, New York, Vancouver, and Berlin, or in a workspace in Kraków. This flexible approach gives team members the best of both worlds: plenty of focus time along with in-person collaboration that fosters trust and unlocks creativity.

Grammarly team members in this role must be based in the United States or Canada, and they must be able to collaborate in person 2 weeks per quarter, traveling if necessary to the hub(s) where the team is based.

The opportunity

Every day, tens of millions of people and 50,000 professional teams worldwide trust Grammarly’s AI and human expertise to help ideate, compose, revise, and comprehend communications. Our team members have the autonomy to take on exciting challenges in pursuit of our mission to improve lives by improving communication. Together, we’re building on more than a decade of steady growth and profitability. We’re defining the communication assistance category with our tailored service offerings: Grammarly Free, Grammarly Premium, Grammarly Business, and Grammarly for Education. Our latest product offering, GrammarlyGO, brings the power of generative AI to our users. It all begins with our team collaborating in an inclusive, values-driven, and learning-oriented environment.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an Account Executive to join our Grammarly for Education Sales team. Serving students and their institutions is core to our business and allows us to deliver on our mission to improve lives by improving communication. This Account Executive will report directly to the Head of Sales, and will work cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product Marketing, and RevOps teams. They will also coordinate with Sales Engineers and Product and Growth teams to build, execute and iterate our go-to-market motions on the Grammarly for Education team.

Your impact

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving new sales and the growth of Grammarly for Education in higher education. You will source institutional deals while landing new logos and formalizing relationships with institutions in your territory. This will allow you to drive the required usage of Grammarly and ultimately enable positive student learning outcomes as a result.

You will report directly to the Head of Sales, Grammarly for Education and will be measured on the following expectations:

  • Within your first 30 days, you will become deeply familiar with your team, the cross-functional Education Leadership team, and the existing product, sales motions, segment performance (e.g., bookings, expansion, retention), as well as related systems and processes.
  • By the end of month three, you will establish an in-depth understanding of the sales cycle, product, and critical value drivers for the education segment. You will also be able to deliver repetitive processes, handle common objections, and demonstrate knowledge across several use cases.
  • By the end of month six, you will establish a highly effective operating cadence and be able to deliver new logos against an annual plan. You will contribute to the sales playbook and align the sales process to the buyer’s journey so you can advance opportunities specific to the sales stage. You will maintain a strong pipeline to ensure consistent quarterly targets are achieved.
  • By the end of year one, you will be fully ramped, with an in-depth understanding of Grammarly’s product offerings. You will also be able to contribute to the hiring process, make autonomous decisions, and articulate Grammarly for Education’s present and future strategy.
