Commercial Contracts Attorney

Hyliion is seeking qualified candidates for a Commercial Contracts Attorney position based in Cedar Park, Texas. This full-time position offers the opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing company that is revolutionizing the trucking industry. This position reports to the VP, General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer.

• Prepare, review and negotiate various commercial agreements with suppliers, customers, and business partners
• Ensure contractual terms are consistent with company policy and U.S. law and regulation
• Provide practical legal counsel and advice to internal business clients
• Establish best practices for contract review processes and contract management system
• Experience in automotive OE setting highly desired, but not required

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas preferred

Physical Demands:

• Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending the leg and spine.
• Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds
• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
• Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.

• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
