We’re looking for an experienced in-house transactional attorney to supercharge a small and scrappy team. As the third attorney on the team, you’ll help us streamline our commercial and transactional workflows, provide advice to cross-functional teams regarding product and compliance issues, and more (so much more). Reporting to our General Counsel, this position will play a vital role in building out the legal team at a company named one of Forbes’s 25 Next Billion Dollar Startups.

Qualifications

  • JD and bar admission in good standing (CA, NY, and/or IL strongly preferred) 
  • 5+ years of transactional experience (combination of law firm and in-house preferred)
  • Significant experience with contract lifecycle management solutions (we use Ironclad)
  • Detailed and process-oriented 
  • Mature judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to translate complex concepts and competing priorities into digestible guidance
  • Team mentality and recognition that no task is too small
  • Composure managing multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Sense of perspective…and humor
  • Nice to have: corporate transaction and due diligence familiarity, privacy savvy, and product counseling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales and Finance to close customer deals
  • Review, redline, and approve sales agreements, vendor agreements, data processing agreements, and NDAs
  • Update contract playbooks, template documents, and company policies 
  • Maintain our contract lifecycle management platform
  • Support corporate development team in due diligence and contracts associated with corporate transactions
  • Develop, implement, and improve scalable processes for the legal team
  • Work with revenue enablement to improve Sales team training
  • Advise business and product teams on privacy and other compliance issues
  • Other projects based on the needs of a quickly growing international company

For CA or NY based applicants:

  • The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $200,000
  • This position is eligible for equity in the form of stock options
