Yext is seeking a dedicated and business-oriented attorney to join its growing Legal team! In this position, you will partner with our Enterprise, Mid-Market and Partner (indirect) sales teams in managing, negotiating and executing customer deals and work with various business lines in reviewing and negotiating vendor/procurement transactions. This position can be based in the New York (preferred) or Washington DC areas with a flexible/hybrid work arrangement available.

What You'll Do

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements – primarily SaaS subscription agreements – across our Enterprise, Mid-Market and Partner (indirect) businesses
  • Improving and maintaining our standard commercial agreements, contract negotiation playbooks and legal processes to help us scale globally
  • Proactively working with internal clients to improve and scale all aspects of the sales contract negotiation process
  • Conducting periodic employee trainings on all of the above

What You Have

  • 3-5 years corporate and/or commercial experience at a leading law firm, in-house, or a combination there of
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills; prior experience with commercial agreements required, experience with SaaS, content distribution and general commercial agreements within the technology industry strongly preferred
  • Experience working through data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, etc.) and security issues in SaaS/commercial transactions
  • Flexibility and eagerness to work hard in fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Highly organized, process-driven and client-focused teammate
  • Law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and license to practice law
  • Foreign language skills a plus
  • Government/federal contracting experience a plus

The base salary at the time of hire for this position is expected to be between $107,100 - $207,500. Pay ranges at Yext are established based on an analysis of salaries for positions with a similar level of accountability and impact in the relevant labor market. Salary levels are expected to change to reflect an employee’s job performance (results and impact) over time. Salaries at the time of hire are typically offered in the lower to middle of the above-referenced range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect performance-based increases over time. In addition to base salaries, employees at Yext are typically eligible for a comprehensive package of benefits, and successful candidates may also be eligible for equity (stock) based compensation and/or variable pay programs based on performance relative to goals and targets.
