Commercial Counsel

Enfusion has an immediate opening for a Commercial Counsel to join our legal team in our Chicago office! The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial in nature and interested in helping to grow a global, financial technology company. He or she should be able to maneuver through complex matters, solve problems, and correspond with executive management with little guidance.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with leaders of Enfusion’s Legal team, focusing on commercial contracts (primarily vendor and procurement), entity management, corporate governance, data privacy, and affiliate management in support of the organization and its international affiliated entities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including services agreements, real estate agreements, supply agreements, customer agreements, non-disclosure agreements and SaaS agreements, with the goal of achieving Enfusion’s business objectives while protecting its interests, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with company policies
• Exercise good judgment working with Enfusion partners and vendors, advising Enfusion’s global team, and contributing to Enfusion’s continued growth and success

• Draft, review, manage, negotiate, and enforce policies, procedures, and agreements related Enfusion’s Compliance, Procurement, and Cybersecurity/IT Systems departments.
• Advise Enfusion’s cybersecurity team regarding data management practices and assist when drafting, implementing, and enforcing related policies and procedures
• Assist in the management of Enfusion’s international affiliate management program
• Identify, research, analyze, and advise teams on a range of relevant legal issues 
• Communicate complex legal concepts in simple terms

Who We Need

• 7+ years of experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department
• Admitted to practice in Illinois or the ability to register as In-House Counsel in Illinois
• Juris doctorate from a reputable law school
• Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to interact with c-level executives, both internally and externally
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, entity management, corporate governance, and data privacy issues
• Analytical minded with a creative problem-solving approach
• Strong business acumen and ability to quickly exercise good business judgment
• Excellent responsiveness and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Background in technology or capital markets is a plus
