Team: General

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel - REMOTE. This role will act as a strategic legal partner, driving high-impact transactions and supporting sales in structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements. With responsibilities extending to vendor agreements and privacy initiatives, you'll play a crucial part in a fast-growing legal team. Your expertise will guide the business through complex negotiations while fostering trusted partnerships with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will embrace a business-oriented mindset and make significant contributions to the organization’s legal operations.

Accountabilities

  • Lead strategy, negotiation, and execution of complex B2B agreements, including SaaS and on-premises licenses.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to sales leadership for deal structuring and negotiation strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve commercial and operational issues.
  • Develop and improve form agreements to enhance consistency and scalability.
  • Contribute to workflows that enable effective scaling of legal processes.
  • Support global expansion efforts, including privacy and security initiatives.

    • Requirements

  • JD or equivalent U.S. law degree and active bar membership in good standing.
  • 8+ years of technology-related commercial legal experience, preferably in SaaS.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations independently.
  • Strong commercial acumen balancing legal risk and business objectives.
  • Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage high-impact workloads.
