This role is a senior leadership position focused on driving growth and market expansion in North America. The Commercial Director will define and execute strategic plans that increase sales, revenue, and market presence, while building and leading a high-performing regional sales and business development team. You will manage key commercial relationships, negotiate with senior decision-makers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including finance, product, marketing, and engineering to ensure company-wide objectives are met. Representing the organization at industry and media events, this role blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute a strategic plan for regional business growth, targeting increased sales and revenue.
  • Develop and lead a successful regional sales and business development function, building a high-performing team.
  • Drive external commercial relationships and lead negotiations with key clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across finance, product, marketing, engineering, and customer success to ensure successful company-wide projects.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, media engagements, and key business forums.
  • Lead regional and product launches, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational readiness.
  • Identify opportunities and challenges in the market, developing innovative approaches to capitalize on them.
  • Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in business, commercial, finance, or consulting roles.
  • 5+ years leading sales teams to consistently achieve ambitious targets.
  • Proven success in fast-growth startup environments, ideally in tech.
  • Strong track record in complex commercial negotiations with high-profile international clients.
  • Experience managing scalable operations and cross-functional projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, mentor, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Fluent in English; additional European language is a plus.
