Commercial Electrician

Overview Job Type: Full/Part Time Job Description: Electrical Contractor seeking hard working motivated individuals to become part of the team. Be involved in new commercial and residential electrical installations as well as trouble shooting and service work throughout the chicago land area . Interact with clients and other trades on job sites. The capability and willingness to perform miscellaneous tasks upon request is required. This is a customer oriented position that involves excellent communication skills, and the ability to follow directions with a professional and upbeat attitude. Responsibilities • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial settings, ensuring compliance with NEC standards. • Utilize hand and power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues. • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for accurate installations. • Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, ensuring timely completion. • Maintain clear communication with clients and team members regarding project progress and safety protocols. • Drive to various job sites as required, adhering to all safety regulations. Skills and requirements: • Certification from a accredited trade school. • 3-5 years experience as a commercial electrician • Ability to read blueprints, run conduit, wire and terminate devices, perform quality control testing and troubleshoot existing electrical systems. • Working knowledge of installing electrical systems in both residential and commercial applications. • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy objects • Ability to ascend/descend ladders • Willingness to travel from site to site, work nights/weekends/overtime, as required • Must have pipe bending skills and have a general understanding of the NEC Code. • Must be 21 years or older and have a valid drivers license and means of transportation. • Must have their own hand tools. • Good attitude and willingness to learn • Compensation: $ 25-35 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
