Commercial Finance Manager

About the role:

• We’re looking for our very first hire into our FP&A and Commercial Finance team; someone who can come and help build the function from the ground up
• This role is a unique opportunity to help Nansen grow and make better financial decisions
• There’s lots to do! Some areas of immediate ownership and impact include forecasting, pricing, cost planning, and understanding the ROI of our investments

Your responsibilities:

• Build and own our core financial models: for forecasting, for pricing, for cost planning/unit economics, and for marketing investments
• Use your understanding of Nansen’s growth and financials to enable better decision making
• Help support and drive our investor relations efforts - from fundraising through to Board reporting
• Help shape the overall vision for FPA and Commercial Finance at Nansen; including how we grow and scale the team and capabilities 

Your experience:

• Proven track record and experience in FP&A and Commercial Finance in a fast growing technology driven business that has scaled during your time there
• Highly proficient with data and spreadsheets: you have strong working experience with SQL and are a spreadsheet guru!
• Good understanding of commercial and strategic finance concepts: growth, payback, ROI on investments
• Proven track record of partnering with folks at all levels of an organisation
• Prior fundraising experience - from modelling through to writing an equity story deck - is a massive plus
• Bonus points for a working knowledge of Python
