Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Martin Electrical Systems, LLC is currently seeking a full-time Journeyman Electrician! We are a commercial industrial Electrical Contractor within DFW and surrounding area, specializing in warehouse tenant finish out and industrial work. Job Description: • Work in a industrial/commercial environment and able to run crews of 1-6 men. • Repair and install electrical wiring, fixtures, power components and equipment per electrical code, blueprints, specifications and manuals. • Connect and install power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical equipment for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints. • Repair and install equipment to include; motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels, etc. • Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment. • Test connections of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using proper instruments. • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender. • Prior to city inspections, determine/detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment. • Coordinate change orders with superintendent and field coordinator with communication from management on approvals. Qualifications/Skills Needed: • Must have a current TDLR Journeyman's license and maintain through employment. • Must be able to pass background and drug testing. • Willing to work overtime when needed, to include weekends. • Knowledge of current electrical code compliance and ability to read blueprints, diagrams or schematics. • Able to bend, squat, kneel, climb and reach. • Able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50lbs. • Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, no DUI's or Suspensions. • Must have good communication skills, professionalism, time management and be a team player.
