Job Description

The salary range for this position is $140,000-160,000 per annum

Reporting to our General Counsel, this is an exciting role for a commercial lawyer to join the Jellyfish group of companies, working in the US as part of the Global Legal and Compliance function. You will work in partnership with the rest of legal team and as part of the global legal support function.

Jellyfish is part of The Brandtech Group, which provides digital marketing services to major global brands. The group companies are all connected worldwide by people working together across the UK, US, EMEA, APAC, Central and South America.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Contract management including negotiating and drafting commercial contracts including, digital marketing MSAs, advertising, agency, influencer marketing, talent, adtech, vendor and real estate agreements.
• Counsel lead in contract negotiations with client’s counsel on contract negotiations
• Advise on a variety of commercial legal matters and legal support requirements as part of the global Legal and Compliance Team
• Increase efficiency in contracting processes, including creating and updating templates, guides and training materials 
• Advise on legal and regulatory updates including data protection, marketing and advertising laws in the affected the business
• Provide legal advice and guidance on both contentious and non-contentious business affairs
• Be a partner to our human resources and finance teams, drafting related internal policies or other related agreements.

Qualifications

• US qualified commercial lawyer with Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• 7+ years Post Qualification Experience with active Bar Membership
• In-house or private practice experience in the global digital marketing services or technology industry
• Solid knowledge of data protection law
• A team collaborator who can provide partner support within a Global Legal and Compliance function
• Commercial acumen and drive to see the continued growth of the business
• Flexible, versatile, and able to cope well when working to deadlines, juggling and prioritizing a varied workload
• You'll have the ability to explain legal advice clearly and effectively to colleagues
