Responsibilities
- Maintaining relationships with multiple insurance carriers to negotiate and obtain quotes, binders, endorsements, certificates, etc.
- Cross selling products to potential customers
- Managing established book of accounts
- Negotiating renewals for existing customers
- Obtaining information and documentation from new and existing clients
- Resolving customer issues
- Review renewal requests and endorsements for accuracy and adherence to underwriting guidelines for various carriers and/or brokers in preparing policies, endorsements, binders and certificates
- Maintains complete, accurate, and thorough files on every customer account by processing daily mail and telephone requests for assigned accounts to include entering and scanning all required account data into the system
- Assists commercial team and provides training to other Account Managers as requested
- Processing claims including reporting and monitoring
- Actively participates in team meetings
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
- 2 years of Commercial Insurance Sales or Account Management experience
- Experience with CRM (AMS 360 preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service focus
- Attention to detail and organization
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated and goal-oriented
Must Have
- Texas General Lines Property & Casualty License
- Knowledge of insurance forms, coverage and online rating
- Must be able to type at least 40 wpm accurately and have a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
