Commercial Project Assistant

Growing disaster Restoration Company in Livonia is seeking a Commercial Project Assistant. This is a travel position where the candidate will be coordinating job activities at a customer’s location. The jobs typically last between 1-3 weeks and are often deployed on short notice. The candidate can expect to be traveling over 50% of the year.

The successful candidate should be a reliable self-starter who can work independently, has initiative, and takes pride in their work. This is a full-time position available immediately.

In this role, you would be required to complete the following tasks: 

• Work under pressure with immediate deadlines. 

• Multi-task – able to switch assignments as needed. 

• Use the computer, internet, cell phone, and general office machines. 

• Accurately maintain files. 

• Able to professionally draft letters with proper English and grammar. 

• Answer calls after hours when needed. 

The successful candidate should have the following experience: 

• High efficiency with Microsoft Office 

• Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with software packages 

• Accurate data entry and record keeping 

• Coordinating with outside service providers to meet expectations and deadlines 

Typical tasks while on the job site: 

• Researching and implementing Travel arrangements: Flights, Hotels, and Vehicles

• Maintain Daily log sheets: Labor Logs, Equipment Logs, and Material Usage Logs 

• Enter usage information to generate the invoice 

• Summarize Daily job communications from the Project engineer and distribute them to appropriate parties 

• Coordinate meals at the job location or hotel
