Commercial Roof Service/ Repair Technician - living in the Abilene, San Angelo, Wichita Falls areas M&R Roofing is a family owned and operated, fast growing, and success-driven company looking for experienced Commercial Roof Service Technicians to join our growing team. QUALIFICATIONS • Live in Abilene, San Angelo, or Wichita Falls • Minimum 7-10 years Commercial roofing experience as a roof service/repair tech • Valid Texas driver’s license • Clean driving record • Work authorization for US • Willing to be on the road a minimum 75% of the time • Knowledge of roofing software preferred REQUIREMENTS • Must live in or be willing to relocate within the area of Abilene, San Angelo, or Wichita Falls. • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening including random drug testing throughout employment. This is a drug free workplace. • Must be self-motivated, efficient, hardworking, committed to customer service, ability to lead and train others in cooperative team environment, and work well on your own. • Possess thorough knowledge of EPDM, TPO, PVC, standing seam, sheet metal, roof details (including gutters/downs), BUR, and mod-bit roofing systems required. • Must possess the physical capabilities required for commercial roofing, including but not limited to the capacity to work long days in a variety of outdoor elements and weather conditions, stooping, bending, material handling, ladder climbing, and awareness of height exposure. • Ability to safely lift up to 90 pounds • Ability to work with a variety of hand/power tools • Knowledge of basic roofing tools • Ability to identify deficiencies in a roof and then make repairs and/or repair recommendations • Effective communication skills and be presentable as you will be dealing directly with customers. • Ability to ascend/descend a ladder frequently, up to 40 feet • Ability to travel Monday through Friday if needed • Willing to work some weekends • Detail oriented, strong work ethic, problem solving skills, efficient in time management, ability to think outside the box, outgoing, and highly motivated • Possess the knowledge of basic math skills, addition, subtraction, division, fractions • Possess the ability to read and write English to a high school level • Must be proficient in the English language fluency • Strong computer/technology skills and ability to learn new software quickly • Follow OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies relating to jobsite safety and demonstrate safe workplace practices Responsibilities - Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems using hand and power tools. - Conduct roofing inspections and identify areas needing repair or replacement. - Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently. - Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites. - Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
