Within Western Australia, Sodexo is responsible for the operations, maintenance, and refurbishment of non-process infrastructure to clients within the mining and oil & gas sector. Sodexo plays a critical role in ensuring the resource sector can operate by providing quality catering, hospitality, and facilities maintenance services.
We have a unique role available for aΒ Commercial Specialist to join our team in our WA office located in Balcatta on a 12 month fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend. The objective of this position would be to ensure that our site adherence to national controls, policies, procedures, provides guidance, support and risk management to the IFMS Operations team with regards to commercial matters. The position may have ad hoc travel to our client sites across Australia.
What you will be doing
- Manage contracts & variations of IFMS contract
- Develop and manage, in conjunction with key stakeholders, costing-commercial modelling to be turned into commercial variation/claim.
- Develop and propose commercial strategy for client negotiation
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of commercial claims in accordance with provisions of contract.
- With the support of operations, finance & management, to identify contract deviation and turn it into commercial variation.
- Develop and maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships
- Attend regular Contract Performance Meetings as appropriate
- Monitor Customer Client satisfaction
- Ensure assigned deadlines and customer driven timeframes are met
- Serving as liaison between internal operations and business end-users to provide analysis and reporting to support business decisions
- Undertake operational financial analyses and provide recommendations to improve financial performance
What you will need
- Min 5 yearsβ experience in commercial roles Experience preferable in remote site or multi-service industry.
- Commercial / Accounting degree qualification
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Exposure to contract management is a plus
- Proficient skills in MS Office applications such as Word and Outlook with a high proficiency required in use of Excel
- Demonstrable strong analytical skills, careful attention to detail and investigative mindset
