Job Description
Summary
The purpose of this position is to provide a diversified and viable commercial sponsorship program to defray costs of events and solicit in-kind sponsorship for the Morale Welfare & Recreation (MWR) and War Fighter Services (WFS) throughout Fleet & Family Readiness (FFR) programs, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic. The duty station is JEB Little Creek/Fort Story.

Qualifications
A qualified candidate possess the following:
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral to solicit commercial sponsorship and advertising, negotiate agreements, and prepare proof of performance reports.
- Knowledge gained through relevant experience which enables the incumbent to competently and independently carry out continuing commercial sponsorship and advertising programs.
- Skill in the application and utilization of knowledge used to plan and carry out commercial sponsorship, advertising and special events activities which meet, as fully possible, the needs of the participating installation/community.
- Ability to develop customized presentations and address groups.
- Experience in coordinating large scale, complex activities and events.
- Skill in organizing and planning events
- Ability to evaluate the adequacy of programs and to make recommendations for improvement or correction.
- Knowledge of military programs.
- Knowledge of Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Education
This position does not have a positive education requirement.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required. We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee's eligibility to work in the United States. Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within 60 days of issuance of selection certificate. For positions requiring travel more than twice per year, selectee may be required to obtain and maintain in good standing a Government-issued Travel Card for official government travel purposes.
