Under the general direction and leadership of the Strategic Software Marketing Manager, this position will manage multiple projects in alignment with marketing goals to increase global customer awareness and interest in the Rockwell Automation suite of information software products, services, and solutions.
The Commercial Marketing Manager will actively influence, coordinate and manage the outcome of assigned commercial activities necessary to promote information products and solutions. Such activities include outcome-based storytelling, communications for major programs, initiatives, content development, and amplification, and reporting from those activities.
The Commercial Marketing Manager will be responsible for the generation of content for programs which build customer interest in our MES solutions. Work with other Commercial Marketing Managers and stakeholders to produce innovative marketing program tactics that drive traffic and content consumption. Helps plan and implement a wide variety of program channels including social media, advertising, trade shows, sales literature, web, and multimedia for assigned topics.
Supervise and coordinate work done by outside vendors for assigned projects. Assist with development of commercial strategies. Provide consistent metrics for assigned programs. Must possess strong writing skills, some working knowledge of IT and/or manufacturing systems and have great organizational skills and be able to work independently and within groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional
- Written communication and development of communications in a fast-paced environment and support commercial programs for software products and solutions.
- Direct marketing communications projects related to supported businesses or cross-business initiatives: establish agreed-upon goals and approach with Program Managers and business marketing for each project; work with and control the work done by outside vendors; measure and report results.
Professional and Technical Excellence
- Produce and maintain written content in collaboration with subject matter experts, aligned to personas and optimized for assigned program objectives incorporating the following: publicity, advertising, direct mail, collateral, sales promotion, social media, web, and media communications, etc. This plan folds into the commercial plan, which feeds demand generation, reputation and launch programs, channel and distributor marketing, and other Marketing programs.
- Familiar with content slicing and optimization for marketing channels (ie. Web copy vs. whitepapers) through digital marketing tactics
Leadership
- Influence and energizing others to help reach business goals and objectives.
- Identify new content opportunities based on incoming data and develop proposals to use innovative tactics; work to obtain business approval.
- Ensure that content and programs are delivered on time and within constraints as defined by the commercial plan and budget.
- Collect and report metrics for assigned programs.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Travel: Ability to Travel Approximately 25%
Preferred Experience
- Typically requires 5+ years of experience in a marketing, marketing data and/or digital marketing role
- Outstanding organizational, writing and editing skills
- Solid organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with senior management, manage ambiguity and work under tight deadlines in a demanding atmosphere
- International business communications experience is desirable
- Experience in manufacturing or MES and information software
The base salary compensation range for this role is $79,040-$98,800 with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary. Our company benefits can be found at raquickfind.com.
