What is the opportunity?

As the Commission Specialist III, you will act as a first point of contact to commission related questions from RBC Wealth Management's Financial Advisor (FA) population. You will interact with all levels of Branch Management on questions and processing requests. A primary responsibility of yours will be the administration of RBC Wealth Management's revenue and expense processing. Additionally, you will provide a high-level of customer service to FA's in response to inquiries regarding the various Commission Accounting (CA) related systems and plans, ensure accurate and timely resolution of all questions, issues, and processing tasks, and escalate calls through designated channels, as necessary. As a member of the Human Resources Advice Center U.S. department, you will practice the missions and values in achieving the department's goals.

What will you do?

  • Act as the point of contact for the Commission Helpline, providing customer service for FA inquiries
  • Research commissions payments disputed by FA's ensuring accurate and timely resolution of questions and issues
  • Processing and accounting for various manual and system revenue sources
  • Processing and accounting for manual payroll adjustments
  • Review of reimbursement requests
  • Work with management to identify workflow issues & process improvement opportunities
  • Continually seek to stay current on company policies, procedures and organizational changes
  • Maintain documentation of job procedures
  • Complete requests for the creation of individual and group rep identification numbers, including parameter overrides, while partnering with IS to ensure access to execute trades
  • Special projects as needed

Must-have

  • Demonstrated customer service skills with 3+ years' work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal aptitude with the ability to take initiative and function independently, but also work well in team setting
  • Capability to handle confidential matters with discretion and good judgment
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Nice-to-have

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in business or accounting
