The Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager of FP&A, the Commissions Analyst will become the subject matter expert for all commission processes and will work cross functionally with team members in Sales, Accounting, Operations, and HR. This role will lead administration of our commission plans and work with revenue operations to understand key drivers of performance, develop sales analytics, and partner on plan design.

The Impact You’ll Make

  • Calculate commission/incentive award payments to sales and operations personnel based on company policies and weighted achievement

  • Work cross functionally with other departments, especially Finance & Accounting, to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of accruals and payouts

  • Develop expertise in Captivate IQ to automate the calculation of our plans and optimize our monthly reporting 

  • Partner with revenue operations and sales in rolling out new plans, including plan and systems design, training, and updating policies and processes

  • Generate internal documentation on compensation plans, reporting guidelines and compensation related FAQs and manage employee inquiries

  • Perform monthly audits of financial data to analyze statistical trends and identify any inconsistencies

  • Maintain quality assurance measures to prevent and detect possible errors and to strengthen internal controls

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of strong analytical experience in sales compensation and administration

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field

  • Proficiency using a sales compensation management system, preferably Captivate IQ

  • Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency using pivot tables and complex formulas

  • Salesforce and NetSuite experience preferred
