Commissions Support Specialist

American Farm Bureau Insurance Services, Inc. (AFBIS, Inc.) is looking for a Commissions Support Specialist to work out of our Fargo, ND office. As a member of our Policy Administration Team, you will be responsible for generating, analyzing and reconciling agency commission payments and assisting with the administration of policy holders with outstanding amounts due while focusing on process improvement.

Reporting to the Regional Office Manager, the Commissions Support Specialist will be responsible for:

• Pulling monthly commission reports and reconciling agent and company commission reports
• Confirming amount of commission payments and requesting disbursements
• Sending payment notifications and statements to agents and agencies
• Tracking payment information for 1099 creation
• Performing annual audits of contract terms to ensure payments are made accordingly
• Acting as point of contact for agent questions related to commissions
• Collecting and auditing W-9 and ACH information from agents and agencies
• Performing administrative duties regarding policies in collections, ineligible policies, and policy holder Payment Agreements such as sending letters, tracking deadlines, and updating system information

What you will bring to this position:

• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Sales/Sales Operations/Commission payment processing or AP/AR experience.
• Proven knowledge of commissions processing and payment requests along with the ability to interpret and analyze commission contracts.
• Account reconciliation and analysis experience.
• Crop Insurance commission payment experience is a plus.
• Experience using Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 

This is a hybrid role working out of the Fargo office at least two days a week and one additional day within a two-week period.

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $60,000.  Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
