ABOUT THIS POSITION

Location: This is a hybrid role in Arlington, VA with 25% travel

As a Commodity Manager:

•You will lead the spare parts procurement and delivery strategy working with regional service teams to ensure site availability.

•You will develop a parts sourcing and management strategy to support high availability/lead times and e-commerce of common spare parts.

•Work with regional service teams to maintain a master list of spare parts for Fluence products

•You will develop and implement contract standards and pricing models for spare parts.

•Work on cost reduction initiatives in all venues of the commodity. 

•Analyze spend and demand for savings opportunities and develop fulfillment concepts to support our customer commitments.

•You will manage supplier selection based on Total Cost of Ownership criteria (incl. system cost comparison, quality, reliability, delivery, transport costs, long term production plan etc.).

What will the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?

• You have a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering with 5+ years of experience in global operations or supply chain functions or a master’s degree with 3+ relevant experience.
• Experience with contract negotiations, supplier management, and logistic optimization initiatives.
• Experience with core ERP software applications such as SAP or Oracle.
• Experience with global spare parts and service procurement, sourcing, and logistics is preferred.
• You are self-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to requests, as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge of others in identifying solutions.
• You enjoy working in an international environment, 
• You are comfortable with working with teams and suppliers in different time zones and business travel as needed.
