Communication Coordinator CCHF

We are seeking a Communications Coordinator to help lead the marketing and communication efforts of Cook Children's Health Foundation, including major campaigns and events. The Communications Coordinator reports to the Communications Manager and will work closely with members of the Foundation team, as well as Cook Children's Marketing and Public Relations (PR) departments.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree required and a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of related experience. Exceptional writing, leadership and time management and project management skills. Experience with social media management, video production and editing and graphic design.
• Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously while still meeting deadlines.
• Must be able to conduct meetings, lead cross-departmental teams, as well as work independently.
• This role requires a quick-learning team player that can perform cohesively within the Foundation team, as well as teams within marketing, public relations and creative services.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Coordinate production of Foundation collateral pieces for assigned programs and areas. This includes research, copy writing, editing and production of print and digital donor collateral
• Produce and edit video and graphics for use in digital communications for assigned events and programs as well as for social media and broader Foundation communications.
• Lead collaborative efforts with internal teams to create and implement year-round communications plans that support Foundation fundraising and stewardship events and activities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative, effective and comprehensive strategies to create and manage social media presence on networking sites.
• Provide editing and proofreading using AP style, while adhering to Cook Children's brand standards and style guidelines.
• Build and maintain effective internal and external relationships and establish rapport with key constituents. Work collaboratively with donors, physicians, employees, parent groups, patients and families within Cook Children's.
