NOTE: We have a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and two days working from home.
WHAT THIS ROLE DOES
- This role will be responsible for creating a vision and plan for how to elevate communications to HoneyBaked locations that encourages engagement and understanding.
- Oversees, edits, and updates brand standard master documents, including Managers Operating Manual(MOM) and Franchise Operating Manual(FOM) allowing for effective interpretation and implementation in the field(company franchise stores)
- Creates, designs, innovates, and maintains digital platform to engage and promote knowledge of our field and across the organization
- Partners with various departments at the Support Center to create and publish the weekly field communications for all stores via two versions of 'The Honeybaked Times', curated towards co-owned and Franchise stores/owners
- Possess strong listening skills and can interpret complex messages and articulate them to various audiences
- Designs and creates visual communications that can be used in store
- Uses HBHCo knowledge and field relationships to make recommendations for improvements:
- Assists with recommendations to promote knowledge and skills of audience
- Insights on how field interacts and uses current communication vehicles
- Uncover issues and technical concerns currently experienced by the field
- Attend cross-functional meetings to better understand the brand and bring creative solutions for how to use communications to improve field execution
- Possess strong verbal skills and can present to various audiences, in person and online
- Assist with creating impactful Power Point presentations for webinars and meetings
- Assists in hosting planning meetings and webinars
- Back-up for other operational support for the field
OTHER
- Occasional travel working in stores to build HBHCo knowledge
- Support and communicate annual/periodic incentive contests
- Create clear, concise, and timely information
- Captures photographic and video content to use in communications and reference material
YOUR TRACK RECORD
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related preferred, along with 1+ years' experience creating written communications for an organization. Previous experience updating/maintaining documentation (such as manuals, reference materials, etc.) along with experience capturing and leveraging digital assets like photographs and videos is important. In addition, this role will need proficiency in Adobe tools, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator.Staying current on communication trends and monitoring results from all communication vehicles will be a priority, including, but not limited to: intranet site, weekly field communications, brand standards documents, webinars, surveys, and any other method of communicating to the organization. Skilled in the use of visuals to communicate complex ideas.
Success in this role will be shown byskill in understanding the audience to tailor messages appropriately andinfluencing the adherence of brand standards via clear and concise communication on guides via processes, systems, tools. S
Exceptional business writing and verbal skills and strong personal planning and organizational skills are required. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications: Teams, Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook.
Knowledge of/work experience in retail or restaurant operations is helpful.
