As a Communications Lead within PNC's Corporate Communications organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Birmingham, AL, or Houston, TX.
This is a position which provides flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. Certain job responsibilities require time in the office on a regular basis. This position may not be available in all jurisdictions.
The PNC Financial Services Group is seeking a Communications Lead who will be part of the External Content Strategy team within the Corporate Communications department. The position will report to the Manager of External Content Strategy and will be responsible for developing world-class digital content for use across PNC.com, social media and other communications channels as appropriate.
What You'll Do
In this writing-intensive role, you will work within an in-house content development team to deliver content from concept to execution. You will work on multimedia projects alongside creative teams and use project management skills to deliver strategic content across tight timelines. In this strategic role, you will translate business objectives into content strategies and advise on the best communications channels and formats to engage specific target audiences.
Who You Are
You have 7 - 10 years of communications experience, preferably working at a financial institution or within another highly regulated industry. You are a passionate and dynamic communicator who is eager to learn and grow in a challenging but rewarding position. In addition, you:
• Have exceptional writing and editing skills• May enjoy reading the AP Stylebook• Can effectively collaborate and communicate with various internal partners• Thrive in a fast-paced environment in which change is a constant• Have a passion for learning and can learn quickly• Know a thing or two about SEO• Are creative and can think outside of the box to bring a story to life• Are an expert on various content mediums including blogs, podcasts, videos and social media• Can effectively juggle many projects with varying deadlines and levels of complexity• Have a strong data-driven mindset and apply learnings from web analytics into content strategies• Want to join a team of kind, creative and talented individuals who work hard and celebrate each other's successes

Copywriting and Editing - Knowledge of a variety of formats, styles, and techniques for publishing materials; ability to develop and review these materials to promote business related activities.

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Job Description
- Develops communication strategies in support of the strategic direction and oversees initiatives, materials, and staff priorities.
- Develops communication strategies; plans, researches, and develops content for complex communications initiatives.
- Identifies issues and opportunities, serves as trusted advisor to organization on all aspects of communication, and engages other parts of the organization to ensure strategic alignment, clarity, and accuracy of message.
- Coordinates final review and approval before internal or external communications are released.
- Leads project teams of increasing complexity, influences outcomes, and evaluates success as appropriate.
- Consults and advises on communications strategies based on data-driven insights.
