Communications Specialist Job Description
In the Communications Specialist role, you will use your visual design and video storytelling skills to create compelling content that motivates employees within the clients IT organization to engage with People Strategy and Learning & Development programs. Add your creative vision and unique perspective to our supportive, innovative communications team, and help our clients IT organization achieve the broader vision: making a remarkable impact for patients. This role reports to the Senior Manager, IT Communications and Creative Operations and partners closely with the Communications Manager for IT organizations People Strategy and L&D.
Communications Specialist Key Responsibilities

• Produce compelling visual communications: Elevate People Strategy and L&D messaging and content through well-crafted videos and well-designed presentations, web pages, emails.
• Collaborate with creative partners and stakeholders: Work closely with the BTS Communications team and your internal customers to plan, develop, and refine deliverables. When needed, provide support and coverage for other team members.
• Align to team standards and ways of working: As part of the BTS Communications team, ensure all content is aligned to our strategy and brand standards and all project work is tracked according to our project management system—helping us to maintain transparency, collaboration, and accountability as a team.

Communications Specialist REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years of experience in a creative (video/design) role or a strong portfolio of work
• Someone who likes to stretch and innovate creatively but also embraces brand standards
• A smart producer who makes quality videos fast, using simple tools and good planning
• Great eye for design details—you notice when the fonts are wrong or the margins are off, and you take pleasure in producing clear and engaging slides that communicate well in every medium
• Collaborative team member who listens well, asks good questions, welcomes feedback, and raises their own ideas and feedback too

Communications Specialist Nice to Have

• Current SharePoint or web design / CMS skills
• Scriptwriting experience
