Communications Specialist

Keeper is hiring a Communications Specialist to join our global communications team. This individual will work on both internal and external communications, growing brand awareness, promoting a positive public image, and controlling the dissemination of information on Keeper’s behalf. This is a 100% remote position!

An individual in this role will need strong communication and copywriting skills, the ability to distill technical information into plain language, and a clear understanding of the media and social media landscapes. You must be a self-starter who is excited to work in a fast-paced environment. Keeper’s applications have millions of users around the world and thousands of Enterprise customers. Job Responsibilities:

• Create communications plans for announcements and event
• Manage internal communications including memos and newsletters
• Draft media content including press releases and media advisories
• Develop and write social media content
• Organize initiatives and plan events or press conferences
• Liaise with the media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.
• Foster relationships with journalists
• Perform “damage control” in cases of bad publicity
• Assist in communication of strategies and messages from senior leadership
• Manage editorial, event and other planning calendars
• Track and develop analytical reports of media and social media performance

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in PR, communications or media
• Proven experience as communications specialist
• Ability to distill complicated information into plain language
• Experience social media content production
• Experience in copywriting and editing
• Understanding and awareness of basic cybersecurity concepts
• Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
• Ability to engage with other functional areas and manage initiatives to completion
• Proficient command of the English language (written and spoken)

Preferred Requirements:

• BSc/BA in public relations, communications or relevant field
• Experience working in the cybersecurity industry
