Communications Specialist & Marketing/Advertising Coordinator
Job Description
Four Corners Community Bank-a strong and local community bank located in northwest New Mexico and southwest Colorado has an immediate opening for an experienced Communications Specialist & Marketing/Advertising Coordinator in Farmington, NM. The successful candidate will be the primary driver of its website, marketing campaigns, customer communications, written material, community participation, and upholding the bank's brand. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination. Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Communications and Public Relations
- Establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional material, communications, and publications.
- Plan, write, edit, and deliver press releases and any other bank communications.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with local media including print, radio, and television.
- Ensure the opportunities for President/CEO are fully vetted for the purpose of public relations.
- Create, manage, and maintain content on banks intranet (Connect Four).
- Collaborates with IT, compliance, marketing, and business development to create, manage, deliver, and maintain impactful content on banks website and social media.
Marketing
- In consultation with the President/CEO, develop short and long-term goals, objectives and priorities for the bank's marketing, public relations, and advertising.
- Maintain current information on area demographics.
- Create exposure of the bank's products and services to current and prospective customers using digital communications and newsletters.
- Screens and tracks charitable contributions and contributions to civic projects.
- Develops, tracks, and executes the annual marketing budget and plan.
- Plays an active role with the bank's internal and external event planners.
- Participates in professional associations and outside activities to enhance the bank visibility, personal growth, and the community.
Advertising
- Collaborate with outside ad agency to create and design advertising promotion materials for print, billboard, website, digital, and social media.
- Collaborates with senior management to develop and implement strategic marketing plans and sales campaigns to achieve the banks objectives with products and services.
- Coordinates advertising projects, staying within established budgets, deadlines and maintaining accurate records.
- Reviews the effectiveness of advertising through focus groups, customer surveys and other data gathering tools and effectively communicate outcome to the President/CEO and board.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Technical level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's level program in communications, marketing, journalism, or equivalent experience.
- Two to three years of experience in a corporate communications and marketing role.
- Technical writing skills: ability to edit and proofread for grammar and accuracy.
- Ability to use, edit, and manipulate all channels of software and social media.
- Must be familiar with bank products and services.
- Extensive knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and marketing strategies within the current marketplace.
- Great communication skills; verbal and written
