Overview
Talent Pool - Administrative & ClericalMaintains the health system's program to document community benefit activities for accurate and timely reporting to the public and to organizations required for regulatory compliance. Works with Community Outreach department to plan, publicize, and implement program to promote community health. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Responsibilities
- Assures compliance with state and federal community benefit regulations regarding documentation. Maintains all documentation of health system community benefit activities for purposes of IRS reporting and other compliance requirements. Includes identifying and training reporters, maintaining community benefit database, preparing periodic reports, and reviewing state and federal regulations for changes in community benefit rules. Service area is system-wide.
- Develops and markets community education programs, awareness events and screenings. Duties include conceptual and logistical planning, budgeting, recruitment, marketing, and appropriate follow-up, Approximately 6-8 large events (70+ participants) and 50-60 small to medium sized events (15-69 participants) annually. Service area is Alamance Regional.
- Develops and strengthens community relationships by representing Alamance Regional Community Outreach on the following community teams: Active City Streets, Alamance Regional Cancer Committee, Project Connect, Safe Kids, Elder Justice Multi-Disciplinary Team. Service area is Alamance Regional.
- Works with Elon-Alamance Health Partner to prepare press release, community programs mailer, email newsletters and other communications regarding events, screenings and educational opportunities at Alamance Regional. Includes monthly community-wide distribution of mailers and flyer's, and coordination of messages with approximately ten departments/programs. Process registration and payment for classes and events in Community Outreach and Lifestyle Center.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:Required: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:Required: 2 years previous experience.
Preferred: 5 years previous experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
*If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
