This role sits at the intersection of community engagement, equity strategy, and systems change, with a strong focus on immigrant and refugee inclusion across Canada. You will lead the design and execution of a comprehensive community partnership and engagement strategy that ensures lived experiences directly inform programs, research, and advocacy. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you will translate community insights into actionable organizational strategies and equitable practices. The role requires building deep trust with diverse communities and external partners while representing the organization in key national and global forums. You will also shape inclusive governance models and participatory approaches that strengthen accountability and impact. This is a high-impact leadership position for someone passionate about equity-centered innovation and community-driven transformation.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a national community partnership and immigrant engagement strategy aligned with organizational mission and equity goals
- Build and sustain long-term relationships with immigrant, refugee, and multicultural communities, as well as community-based organizations and advocacy networks
- Design and oversee inclusive engagement initiatives such as listening sessions, forums, focus groups, and participatory consultations
- Integrate community insights into program design, policy development, research, and organizational decision-making processes
- Advise senior leadership on culturally responsive practices, equity-centered strategies, and community-informed decision-making
- Develop participatory evaluation frameworks and ensure community data is collected, analyzed, and used to improve impact and accountability
- Supervise and support team members, consultants, and interns engaged in community partnership work
- Strengthen internal capacity through training, tools, and guidance on inclusive and immigrant-centered engagement practices
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Significant experience in community engagement, immigrant advocacy, equity-focused program leadership, or related fields
- Demonstrated success in building and managing cross-cultural partnerships and stakeholder relationships at scale
- Strong ability to design and lead participatory processes and community-driven initiatives
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative insights to inform strategy and decision-making
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive topics with empathy, discretion, and cultural humility
- Strong strategic thinking, planning, and organizational skills in complex, evolving environments
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and external partners across diverse contexts
- Comfort working in ambiguous and dynamic environments with an entrepreneurial mindset
- French proficiency and experience engaging with multilingual communities is considered an asset
- Competitive annual salary range of 125,000 to 145,000 CAD
