Community Development Coordinator

**This is a temporary part-time position that is anticipated to last through the end of the year.**

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

The Community Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of both internal and external grant-funded community development efforts. The Community Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting grant procurement, administration, and management. The Community Development Coordinator will provide support to Market Van Buren and external stakeholders in ensuring the successful completion of grant-funded initiatives.

The Community Development Coordinator will provide support through activities including activity tracking, performance reporting, and collaboration with external partners. The coordinator will work across a range of projects which receive funding from a variety of sources while ensuring excellent customer service and timely submissions of grant-related reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor activity related to internal and external grants.
• Monitor compliance activity obligations and grant reporting deadlines.
• Support execution of grant compliance activities in partnership with Market Van Buren team and external partners.
• Collaborate with internal team and external partners to collect performance and reimbursement documentation for grant activities.
• Compile and submit performance reports and reimbursement requests in alignment with grant agreements.
• Maintain records of compliance, administration, and reporting activities using internal systems in compliance with grant and company policies.
• The Community Development Coordinator may occasionally be asked to support organizing community meetings by identifying an event venue, coordinating venue reservation, meeting set up and distribution of meeting invitations.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality of critical or sensitive materials/issues.
• Experience gathering, organizing, and verifying invoices and expenditures.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Effective written and oral communicator.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, databases, and websites.
• Business, Grant administration, human resources, recruiting/talent acquisition, training coordination, or accounting experience; and
• Strong collaboration within a team environment.
