We are seeking a Community Engagement professional experienced in leading and executing community relations strategy and event delivery for our North America Commercial HVAC team. This position will have direct communication with internal partners as well as non-profit community organizations in key regions to implement best practices with respect to sponsored and/or volunteer community activities.

BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field with 5-7 years' relevant communications experience

We are seeking a Community Engagement professional experienced in leading and executing community relations strategy and event delivery for our North America Commercial HVAC team. This position will have direct communication with internal partners as well as non-profit community organizations in key regions to implement best practices with respect to sponsored and/or volunteer community activities.
Specific Tasks Include:
- Manage and support community relations, special events, and other initiatives
- Serve as liaison to Carrier Foundation for NA CHVAC and primary contact to key non-profit organizations
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with community partners and agencies
- Oversee training and use of community engagement/volunteer tool
- Provide creative and innovative solutions to develop successful events including marketing materials and presentation development
- Develop community affairs roadmap including key achievements, responsibilities, due dates, and budget across primary locations of Charlotte, NC, Kennesaw, Ga, and Syracuse, NY.
- Promote community engagement internally, stimulating engagement from the Carrier associates.
- Plan, execute, and perform a post-assessment review of internal and sponsored community events
- Act as an on-site manager at events to ensure flawless execution
- See opportunities to maximize event efficiencies and volunteer events
- Follow industry (trade organizations, competitors, publishers, customers, etc.) activity and adjust/respond as/if appropriate
- Maintain North America sponsorship database, reports, and budgets
- Maintain an up-to-date calendar and ensure cross-team understanding of event plans and priorities
Overarching Requirements/Skills:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience developing community engagement programs
- Proficient in messaging and marketing activities with respect to community-sponsored events
- Exhibit the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side, able to demonstrate why recommendations are analytically sound
- Technology skills include expertise with Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization, business partners, and vendors
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative, but also to be a strong teammate
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- The ability to work with urgent deadlines, change priorities, and manage multiple high-priority assignments simultaneously
- Experience in negotiating and making decisions
Education:
BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field with 5-7 years' relevant communications experience
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in related position in roles of increasing responsibility
- Proven ability to network with community resources, build relationships and community partnerships
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with internal teams, Marketing professionals, volunteers, and community organizations
- Successful experience in program development and working in a matrix environment
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
- Sense of urgency, self-initiative, commitment, and sense of ownership
- Superior follow-up and follow-through skills
- Ability to travel ~15% to events and vendor/supplier visits
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
