Polymer Labs was founded with the mission to create a neutral, open, permissionless base layer for the new internet. Polymer is at the forefront of developing Ethereum’s Interoperability Hub, building products that will enable new levels of security, user experience, and functionality that will support the mass adoption of the decentralized web. Ahead of major upcoming launches, we are excited to welcome our first dedicated community hire to nurture our early community of supporters who are passionate about our vision and our technology.

We are looking for someone who is deeply in tune with web3, creative, ambitious, organized, and has experience with and is passionate about building a community.

Responsibilities

• You will engage the community directly, serving as a bridge between the core team and the community. Your primary directives are cultivating good vibes, quality memes, and lots of fun.
• You'll create and shepherd the strategy for community growth, including structuring programs for community contributions and creating processes for recognizing positive contributions.
• You’ll lead the organization and coordination of online community events such as community calls, twitter spaces, AMAs, and contests.
• You'll track community growth and manage KPIs to inform growth strategy. You'll work alongside the Product and Marketing teams to create a consistent brand & voice for Polymer.
• This role is on the critical path of growth and adoption of the Polymer protocol, and will ultimately have a massive impact on helping establish the fundamental infrastructure rails for web3.

Qualifications

• You’re crypto-native – deeply immersed in web3 culture, and aware of the prevailing personalities, memes, and major narratives and projects.
• You’ve built and managed the community for a crypto / web3 project with clear KPIs.
• You have extensive experience with Discord and TwitterYou have experience managing stakeholders and setting clear guidelines and expectations.
• You exhibit Polymer values: Perseverance, ownership, legacy, always asking why.
• You are highly curious and enjoy learning about the ins and outs of the Polymer architecture.
• Strong written English communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for Polymer's mission of connecting the world using IBC.
