Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a Community Manager to join Media.Monks’ Audience Engagement team. As a Community Manager in Audience Engagement, you will manage owned posts across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other social platforms for a series of major brands. Along with owned posts, you will identify organic opportunities to engage with on these channels. You will report to the Associate Director, Audience Engagement or their designees, and work in conjunction with the rest of the Audience Engagement team.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the internet and has a deep knowledge of digital trends. You should be able to jump on daily culture and entertainment conversations and identify moments everyone will be talking about.

The ideal candidate will have an original voice and sense of style in their writing and must be able to distill language and information into clear, concise, and appealing copy that fits a respective brand's voice and tone.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring posts across all social platforms and identifying engagement opportunities.
  • Writing copy for text, image, and video content.
  • Flagging and escalating comments, replies, or mentions that fall outside of brand guidelines.
  • Social listening and finding proactive engagement opportunities from users mentioning the brand.
  • Offering suggestions and direction based on social listening and proactive engagements.
  • Participating in team brainstorming meetings and fostering idea generation.
  • Work on content calendars and make them come true, including the timely publishing of social media posts.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, PR, and Communications teams to ensure brand consistency.
  • Work closely with data strategists to provide monthly and quarterly reports and optimization opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with social strategy, account management, and creatives to ensure social media channels are on brand at all times.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends.
  • Analyze the daily social conversation both in general and around the brand.
About You
The essentials:
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience writing for social media, digital video, email, and blog posts.
  • Social media, copywriting, and/or general writing experience.
  • Knowledge of social media audiences and communication styles on each platform, specifically YouTube and TikTok.
  • A deep understanding of social video content and online creators.
  • Quick decision-making skills and ability to work well on deadline.
  • A collaborative approach but able to jump on important tasks as necessary.
  • Proficient in Google tools including GMail and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.).
  • A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, creative, and social environment.
  • Must have a valid passport.

At Media.Monks, we believe in fostering an environment where a diversity of perspectives can thrive. We proactively work to design hiring processes that promote equity and inclusion while mitigating bias. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a team that reflects the communities we serve. We welcome and encourage qualified applicants, from all backgrounds, who are excited to contribute to our mission.
