Community Manager, Portuguese

Wargaming USA is looking for an enthusiastic, Brazilian Portuguese-speaking individual to fill the position of Community Manager, Portuguese for its Austin-based team of ship- and history-lovers responsible for fostering and developing the communities in the Americas. You’ll be required to have your finger on the pulse of our players and engage them in discussions on a constant basis across a variety of platforms, acting as their advocate, as well as an avatar of the development team.

Lead Community Manager

• Be one of the faces and voices of World of Warships and proactively contribute to discussions with player communities across the Official Forums, Twitch, Social Networks, Discord, or any other channel where we need to be

• Collaborate with other functions and regional offices on communications planning to support game updates and a multitude of other events and communications.

• Support regional programs for community contributors, volunteers, and other fan groups.

• Contribute to improvements, new initiatives and projects in the community space aimed at increasing player engagement and retention. Explore, and support collaboration opportunities with local influencers, communities of gamers, anime fans, militaria, museums, and other potential partners

• Identify opportunities for, and assist in the execution of tournaments, offline events, and player gatherings

• All other duties that may be assigned by the company within the scope of this role

• 2+ years of proven experience developing online communities. You are well-versed in community-management, communications, and moderation

• Effective communication skills in Brazilian Portuguese and English with diverse audiences in any format and on any platform, while being aware about potential sensitivities. You are comfortable and proven effective in multi-cultural environments, and are capable of remaining calm and thoughtful in fast-paced high-pressure environments and when communicating publicly

• Familiarity with game publishing, its structure and processes. This includes experience with collaborative tools such as JIRA, Asana, or other similar products, as well as reporting and planning processes

• You are an active player of World of Warships, familiar with the game’s history and its community. Please provide your account name

• You’re familiar with basic data analysis to support your reporting of community sentiment

• You have hands-on experience with organizing tournaments and/or in-person events

• You’ve produced and hosted livestream content and are familiar with current livestream, audio and/or video tech
